Sirpa Kähkönen is one of Finland’s most read and beloved authors. She was awarded the 2023 Finlandia Prize for Fiction with her autobiographical work 36 Urns, which explores the difficult relationship between mother and daughter. Sirpa Kähkönen is a frequent and welcomed guest at Helsinki Lit, where over the years she has interviewed authors such as Helen Macdonald, Elizabeth Strout, and Colson Whitehead. This year, Sirpa Kähkönen will meet Ella-Maria Nutti on the stage of the Savoy Theatre.
