Sirpa Kähkönen is one of Finland’s most widely read and beloved authors. She was awarded the Finlandia Prize for Fiction in 2023 for her autobiographical book 36 Uurnaa, which explores the difficult relationship between mother and daughter. Sirpa Kähkönen is a frequent and much-appreciated guest at Helsinki Lit, where over the years she has interviewed authors such as Helen Macdonald, Elizabeth Strout, and Colson Whitehead. This year, Sirpa Kähkönen will meet Antony Beevor.
