Oliver Lovrenski

Oliver Lovrenski, born in 2003, is a Norwegian author of Croatian descent. He grew up in Norway and made a remarkable entrance into the literary scene with his debut novel, Back in the Day, published in 2023. This intense, poetic, and raw coming-of-age story set in contemporary urban life became an instant number-one bestseller in Norway. The novel earned Lovrenski several accolades, including the Oslo City Artist Prize and the Norwegian Bookseller’s Prize, making him the youngest recipient in the award’s history. It was also shortlisted for the Brage Prize and the Tarjei Vesaas’ Debutant Prize.
