Marko Hautala is a Finnish horror writer from Vaasa, specializing in psychological horror. His work has been translated into eight languages, including German, Italian and English.
Hautala has been described as the Stephen King of Finland for his haunting and gripping horror stories. In 2021, Hautala was nominated for the Shirley Jackson Award for his novelette, “Pale Toes” (“Varpaat”).
He is also a member of the international Horror Writers Association.
