Lena Andersson

Lena Andersson is one of Sweden’s most acclaimed—and controversial—authors. She writes a regular column for Svenska Dagbladet, where her commentary frequently sparks public debate. Her novels translated into Finnish include Wilful Disregard (2014), which received the August Prize in 2013, and Utan personligt ansvar (2015).

Her most recent book, A Study of Human Behaviour (translated into Finnish by Sanna Manninen), is a sharply incisive examination of human life in an era of culture wars and virtue signalling. Shortlisted for the August Prize, the book offers an entertaining critique of Swedish complacency and self-satisfaction, marked by Andersson’s characteristic irony and analytical precision.
