Karin Collins

Karin Collins was born in 1976 and grew up in Hanko. She studied English and French literature and linguistics. Karin lived in England for nearly twenty years, where she worked in marketing and copywriting. She is now back in Hanko – an inexhaustible source of inspiration – and writes full-time.

Collins’ first book was published in 2019, and since then, she has maintained a pace of about one book per year. The first three books are set in the 1970s and 80s, while the most recent trilogy is about Hanko during the Winter War and the Continuation War. All her books are said to be about ordinary people – but do such people really exist?
