Juha Itkonen is one of Finland’s best-known authors and an active voice in cultural and literary debates. His breakthrough novel Anna minun rakastaa enemmän was adapted into a film directed by Oskari Sipola last year. Itkonen has received the Finnish State Prize for Literature, the Kalevi Jäntti Prize, and the Veijo Meri Prize, and has been nominated for the Finlandia Prize twice. His most recent book, Huomenna kerron kaiken, was published in summer 2025. At Helsinki Lit, he will be in conversation with Mattias Timander.
