Author Juha Itkonen is a familiar face at Helsinki Lit. He has jumped in as both a commentator and interviewer since the first festival in 2015. His debut novel Myöhempien aikojen pyhiä was published in 2003 and nominated for the Finlandia Prize. It later received the Kalevi Jäntti Prize. His second novel Anna minun rakastaa enemmän received the State Literature Prize. His recent work, published in 2019, is a correspondence book 7 + 7 with Kjell Westö, one of the most known modern Finnish authors, and Juha Itkonen’s idol when he was just starting his own literary career.
